Here's some advice on how to prepare for a successful HOLI party.
THE PLACE :
Outdoors is best: at the beach, in the garden, on the snow, there are no limits! Holi was originally celebrated in the streets of India to celebrate the arrival of spring.
You can also use Holi powder indoors, as it's non-flammable and won't stain surfaces. However, bear in mind that Holi powder is highly volatile and you'll need to plan a thorough clean-up.
DRESS:
To make the colours stand out as much as possible at your event, dressing in white is the best solution!
The colour of the coloured powder will wash out of cotton clothes in the washing machine. On synthetic materials, some coloured residue may remain on the clothes.
PROTECTION :
Although harmless to health, we advise people who wear contact lenses to wear protective glasses.
In the event of skin, eye or mucous membrane irritation, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
And after the Holi festival,
how do you clean up?
During your Holi festival, you scattered colourful joy all around you?
You're so colourful that your friends don't recognise you any more! No worries about (getting) back into shape, we tell you everything you need to clean up.
THE PARTICIPANTS :
A good shower, a good shampoo and you're as good as new! Put your clothes in the washing machine and you're done!
OUTDOOR SURFACES AND GREEN SPACES:
All you have to do is hose it down and it's easy to restore it to its original state.
If you're a local authority, a broom wagon is still the most effective.
INSIDE :
Aerate as much as possible, vacuum up Holi powder with an industrial hoover or clean with an automatic washer.
